Columbus Day Weekend, 2010

Destination: San Antonio Riverwalk & Alamo

What a fun weekend! Just enough time to take in the sights, food, and drinks of the area! We stayed literally right next to the Alamo at The Hotel Indigo.  Neat hotel.. a lot of character, clean, great location.  We spent much of our time down at the Riverwalk.  There were restaurants & bars every few steps.  It was very well kept and clean.

We visited the Mission San Jose, The Alamo, and downtown area.

The tequila, nachos, and bbq was in full abundance all weekend.

Martha's Vineyard

Destination: West Tis, Martha’s Vineyard

We came home from the honeymoon… and hopped right on the boat and headed to one of my favorite summer spots, Martha’s Vineyard.  We had a house in West Tisbury that came with access to a local spot (nice beach, no waves, lots of kids) and also a key to a private beach with a very fancy key - Quansoo.  Dog friendly, empty, no rules…

August 3, 2010 — Destination: Secrets Maroma Beach, Mexico

We flew into Cancun International.  We had booked an SUV to take us to the resort - Secrets Maroma Beach.  It was about a 20 minute ride, not bad.

After waiting for what seemed like forever (about 2 hours!) for our room to be ready… we were greeted by this…

If only we liked champagne.  But, it was free, so you know we sucked some down.

The rooms were beautiful and we spulged for the swim-up right outside our door. Some will argue it’s not worth it.. but we did actually use it a few times.
