We stayed at the Comfort Inn Downtown Memphis. Location was pretty good, free breakfast was a plus, overall rating is so-so. For the price though, it was exactly what was expected.
So we took in the free breakfast and then headed down the road about 15 minutes to Graceland. $10 to park! But it maybe was worth it in the tips that we got from the man who we paid. He gave us some insights into the best BBQ, bars, and music. The price tag at the ticket office almost had us rethinking our trip, but we already committed to the parking lot and had nothing else going for the day. Fortunately we got the AAA discount, but paid $33 per person so that we could check out the car museum and airplane. There was a headphone program that toured you through each room and gave some interesting tid-bits for people who aren’t Elvis gurus.
And then, it was on to Nashville…!!!
3 hours later, we were there. We went back to the places we loved so much the first time.
We met up with Chris. I think Pete regrets this…
We'll be back, Nashville.
