Pete and I took advantage of the opportunity to make it a long weekend, and went up on
Thursday.
We checked into The Escape Inn and then went out exploring. Not surprisingly we were looking for a place to have drinks and dinner near the water. We found it not too far from our hotel at The Summer Shanty.
Friday we went to Nauset Light Beach in Eastham. The beach was packed, not a cloud in the sky. We walked a little ways down the beach to find some open space. Even with the threat of sharks in the surrounding areas, we both made it into the water.
The rest of the fam came up on Friday night. We went out for some fried seafood at Seafood Sam’s.
Saturday was a day of beach, clouds, rain, ice cream, and lounging at the pool.
The day was capped off with Mark and Ashley’s wedding. We had so much fun. And we sweat a lot. And danced. And drank. And sweat. Then, we capped it off with McDonald’s. Oh, yes.
